Father Zhou Wenmo in Hiding

When the Eulmyo Incident broke out, Father Zhou Wenmo safely took refuge in Kang Wansuk’s home. Although the house stood near the palace, it was difficult for the authorities to search because it belonged to a woman of the yangban class. Father Zhou took advantage of this circumstance and made the house his principal hiding place. With the devoted protection of many believers, he continued to organize the Church, lead the faithful, and carry out his pastoral ministry even amid persecution.

Al estallar el incidente de Eulmyo, el padre Zhou Wenmo logró refugiarse a salvo en la casa de Kang Wansuk. Aunque la casa estaba cerca del palacio, las autoridades tenían dificultades para registrarla porque pertenecía a una mujer de la clase yangban. El padre Zhou aprovechó esta circunstancia y la convirtió en su principal lugar de refugio. 乙卯事件爆发后，周文谟神父安然藏身于姜完淑家中。这所宅院虽靠近宫殿，却因是两班妇女的住所，官府难以轻易搜查。周神父利用这一点，将此处作为主要的藏身之所。此外，在众多教友的无私保护下，即使身处教难之中，他仍得以组织教会、带领教友，并继续开展牧灵工作。
