정순매 바르바라 (1777-1801)

정순매 바르바라는 1777년 경기도 여주에서 태어났다. 1795년 오빠 정광수 바르나바와 올케 윤운혜 루치아에게 교리를 배워 입교한 뒤, 자신을 하느님께 온전히 바치고 동정을 지키기로 결심하였다. 오빠 부부를 따라 한양 벽동으로 이주한 그는 교회 서적과 성물을 신자들에게 보급하고, 윤점혜 아가타가 이끄는 동정녀 공동체에서도 활동하였다. 집에서 공소 예절과 미사가 있을 때에는 필요한 일을 정성껏 준비했으며, 1800년 주문모 신부에게 세례를 받았다. 신유박해 때 체포된 정순매는 거듭되는 문초와 형벌 속에서도 교우를 밀고하지 않고 신앙을 지켰다. 고향 여주로 이송된 그는 1801년 7월 3일 또는 4일 참수형으로 순교하였다.

Jeong Sun-mae (Barbara)

Jeong Sun-mae, Barbara, was born in 1777 in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. In 1795 she learned the Catholic faith from her brother Jeong Gwang-su, Barnabas, and his wife Yun Un-hye, Lucia. After her conversion, she resolved to offer herself wholly to God and remain a virgin. She followed the couple to Byeok-dong in Hanyang, where she distributed Catholic books and devotional objects and joined the community of consecrated virgins led by Yun Jeom-hye, Agatha. Whenever worship or Mass was held in the house, she prepared everything with care. She was baptized by Fr. Zhou Wenmo in 1800. Arrested during the Sinyu Persecution, Jeong endured repeated interrogation and torture without betraying another Catholic or abandoning her faith. She was sent to her native Yeoju and beheaded on July 3 or 4, 1801.

Jeong Sun-mae (Bárbara)

Jeong Sun-mae, Bárbara, nació en 1777 en Yeoju, provincia de Gyeonggi. En 1795 conoció la fe católica por medio de su hermano Jeong Gwang-su, Bernabé, y de la esposa de este, Yun Un-hye, Lucía. Después de su conversión decidió ofrecerse enteramente a Dios y vivir en virginidad. Siguió a la pareja hasta Byeok-dong, en Hanyang, donde distribuyó libros y objetos religiosos y formó parte de la comunidad de vírgenes consagradas dirigida por Yun Jeom-hye, Águeda. Cuando se celebraban reuniones de oración o la misa en la casa, preparaba todo con gran dedicación. Recibió el bautismo del P. Zhou Wenmo en 1800. Detenida durante la persecución de Sinyu, soportó repetidos interrogatorios y tormentos sin denunciar a ningún católico ni abandonar la fe. Fue enviada a su tierra natal, Yeoju, y decapitada el 3 o 4 de julio de 1801.

鄭順每（白芭蕾）

郑顺每，圣名白芭蕾，1777年出生于京畿道骊州。1795年，她向哥哥郑光受巴尔纳伯和嫂子尹云惠路济亚学习教理而入教，并决心把自己完全奉献给天主，终身守贞。她跟随哥哥夫妇迁居汉阳壁洞，在那里传播教会书籍和圣物，也加入尹占惠亚加大所带领的守贞女团体。每当家中举行祈祷聚会或弥撒时，她总是用心准备一切。1800年，她由周文谟神父领洗。辛酉迫害中，郑顺每被捕，在反复审问和酷刑下仍不肯告发任何教友，也没有放弃信仰。她被押回故乡骊州，于1801年7月3日或4日被斩首殉道。
